"As good as it could possibly get!", was my initial thought when I first saw Asuncion on a cold sunny day in The Highlands of the Peruvian Andes. I had been to Peru 12 times previously and except for that fateful day I discovered Kantu, I was never more excited than on this day of selection. Rufino, one of our Peruvian veterinarian's and part of our Peru selection team had convinced one of his llama raising neighbors that it would be worth the trip to bring his small herd to the fairgrounds where we were selecting llamas that day. Needless to say I was more than happy to buy a True black with white markings "True Suri" for inclusion into the importation group. Asuncion has proven with each offspring that she is indeed as good as it gets. She has never failed to produce a suri offspring, regardless of which of our Peruvian males she was bred to. Linda Berry Walker, in 2003, bought 23 of our best "True Suri's" and among them she bought 3 of Asuncion's offspring and 2 grandchildren. 2 of Asuncion's offspring will also be in the sale including a "Total Outcross" "True Suri" Full Peruvian stud quality male!
